Loaves and Fishes provides nutritious meals, in an atmosphere of hospitality, to the hungry of the Twin Cities Metro area in the vicinity of Faith Lutheran Church, 499 Charles Ave. Together with the parishioners of St. Philip’s Church, we prepare and serve the food and clean up. We average 142 guests on the second Monday of the odd-numbered months.
GLBT Ministry welcomes Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender people. These GLBT persons are welcome here and are active as individuals and couples in a wide variety of ministries. St. Christopher’s is a member of Integrity and several members are active in Space Available. In June, an annual PRIDE Picnic is celebrated. GLBT persons, their families, and allies are invited.
Habitat for Humanity is a joint effort with St. Timothy's Lutheran Church. We rehab a home with the Habitat for Humanity project of the Twin Cities. Volunteers are always welcome.
Meals on Wheels enables seniors to live independently as long as possible. Volunteer drivers are required every third Tuesday, using their own car and volunteering two hours of time.
Newcomer Committee provides a welcoming voice and assistance to those seeking to make St. Christopher's their church home. The committee normally meets Monday evenings. Call for information.
